I’m a mother of four boys ranging from 8 to 24. I love my boys fiercely and would do anything for them above all else.
Our youngest Leni was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in 2019 and whilst I knew what ADHD stood for, I had no idea what it did to the brain and just how big a journey we were about to embark on.
This blog is in fact my diary but rather than keeping it to myself I am choosing to share it with you. There are ups and downs and I make no excuses for the way I have felt or will feel on any given day. I just want you to know what I know and to learn to embrace the disorder as we have.
It isn’t easy to get your head around but if you struggle to understand it imagine how someone with ADHD feels. They spend the better part of their day trying to be ‘normal’ because the world isn’t always open to being different. They face challenges that many of us take for granted and they need people to advocate for them daily.
I want to be honest and open in my posts about things that have happened so that if you are on the same journey you know you are not alone.
So come join me.
It all begins here………………………………………..
